2017 Conductors Symposium at the University of Central Missouri

Date: February 10th, 2017

UCM`s annual Conductors Symposium has brought together musicians from around North America for two days of camaraderie and musical growth. Symposium participants have included college, high school, and middle school directors, graduate students and undergraduates from all across the United States and Canada, interested in refining their conducting skills, improving their score study and rehearsal techniques, and expanding their knowledge of literature.

Applications are accepted on a first-come basis. Registrants have two options:
CONDUCTOR STATUS (limited number of conductors accepted): Opportunity to conduct the UCM Wind Ensemble & Symphonic Band (Instrumental Track) or Concert Choir & Women`s Choir (Choral Track) in two (2) twenty-minute sessions (once each day), receiving comments and instruction from our featured clinicians. Video of the conducting sessions is provided.

PARTICIPANT STATUS (unlimited): Participants are actively involved in all sessions, discussions, and presentations, and observe all conducting sessions.

Graduate Credit Is Available for a separate fee.
