Dana Wilson to Inaugurate WASBE Composition Consortia Series

Award-winning composer Dana Wilson has agreed to inaugurate the WASBE Composition Consortia Series with a new work for intermediate level wind band. The new work will be similar in concept to Sang! – one of his most often performed works throughout the world.

Cost to join this unique consortium is only US$80. Payment is to be made by November 1, 2017. Members will receive score and parts as PDF files, with exclusive performance rights from January 1 – December 30, 2018. Scores and parts will be sent out in mid-November, 2017. Performances during this time by consortium members will be regarded as “Co-World Premieres”.

The parameters of this new WASBE Composition Consortia Series are as follows:
* written for intermediate level ensembles
* instrumentation of modest proportions
* 4-12 minutes in duration
* artistically based in concept
