Exchange Program
For WASBE members, there is an opportunity to develop international contact by organizing exchanges. The coordination of the exchanges is done by the WASBE Exchange Committee. This committee cooperates with members worldwide, to facilitate the exchange requests.
Besides the annual WASBE fee, there are no extra costs involved to be listed as a participant of the exchange program. There are no costs for concrete exchange requests either. Travel and accommodation costs, as well as possible study costs, have to be fully paid by the participants.
Exchange possibilities:
- Host a band from another country.
- Serve as a resource person for community bands, music schools, curriculum development, music marketing or industry.
- Appear as guest conductor in another country.
- Write a commissioned work for wind band.
- Participate in instruction at a conservatory, college or university.
- Organize a study tour for myself.
- Exchange with another conductor, composer or teacher.
- Invite a guest conductor from another country.
- Commission a work for my wind band.

Report
At the conclusion you will be requested to submit a written report of your exchange activities to the exchange committee as soon as possible. Every year the committee will report to the WASBE board about all exchange activities undertaken.
